This patent describes a unique and convenient process to produce in a convenient continuous and scalable mode calcium carbonate filled nanocellulose thin composites and films of very low water and oxygen permeability. Applications of this invention include novel renewable packaging that can compete with the current polyolefin (PET, PP and PE) films.
