Darsan completed his Bachelor of Science – Master of Science (BS-MS) with chemistry as a major subject at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Tirupati, India. His MS thesis is on Manganese (I) catalyst for dehydrogenation and related chemistry.  Prior to commencing his doctoral studies, he worked as a project assistant at IISER Tirupati. Darsan is currently pursuing PhD at Monash University with Dr Joel Hooper as the main supervisor, Prof. Gil Garnier as an associate supervisor and Prof Florent Allais as an external supervisor. His research project focuses on Radical decarboxylation as an enabling technology for functional materials.
