Kiru obtained his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras in 2001 and M.Tech in Biopharmaceutical Technology at Centre for Biotechnology, Anna University, Chennai, India in 2006. He then went on to complete his MASc (Chemical Engineering) from Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, Canada in 2015.
In 2019, Kiru was awarded the Doctoral degree from Monash University. His thesis was titled “Nanocellulose based barrier materials“, supervised by A/Prof. Warren Batchelor. After his PhD completion, Kiru returns to India with his family.
