Dr Julia Walker
Julia Walker is a postdoctoral researcher at BioPRIA in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Monash University. She completed her PhD in antifouling polymer films with protein-based biomarker retention capabilities and ultrasound and photoacoustic biosensors at Monash University in 2020. While also working in science education and start-ups, Julia completed Bachelors with honours in chemistry from Monash University and Bachelors of Architecture from The University of Melbourne. Julia’s current research interests include blood-based diagnostics and biosensors while working with current PhD students under the supervision of Dr Simon Corrie and Prof Gil Garnier.
