Francisca Alves and Marek Bialkower at the ACIS symposium.

BioPRIA researchers participated at the 9th ACIS symposium that took place in Hobart, on 3rd – 7th Feb 2019. It was a great opportunity present their research work on colloids and soft material engineering.  The following presentations and posters are delivered by our researchers:

  • Wet stain kinetics for paper based bio-diagnostics – Michael Hertaeg
  • Tracking the adsorption of biomolecules at the cellulose interface for bio-diagnostics – Vikram Raghuwanshi
  • Nanocellulose-polyelectrolyte Composite as Superabsorbent – Laila Hossain
  • Paper diagnostics for rapidly determining fibrinogen concentration – Marek Bialkower
  • Nanocellulose hydrogels for blood typing tests – Rodrigo Curvello
  • Interactions between gypsum crystal interfaces – Christine Browne
  • Freeze – drying of human red blood cells for biomedical applications – Francisca Diana Alves de Sousa (Poster)
  • Designing nanocellulose gels for applications – Llyza Mendoza (Poster)
