Research topic: Conversion of lignocellulosic biomass to platform chemicals using a fluidised bed reactor
Anurag completed his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology from SASTRA University, India in 2012. He worked as a scientist in the Biologics division of Dr. Reddy’s before commencing his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2015. The principal focus of his doctoral research is on developing and optimising a thermo-catalytic process for biomass conversion to platform chemicals and quantifying the reaction kinetics (BAMI project 8). He is working under the supervision of Professor Sankar Bhattacharya and Professor Gil Garnier.
